NAM Nationals 2019: Anaheim, California

WOW OH WOW! Nationals was a week to remember!

I spent 10 fabulous days in Anaheim, California competing for the National All-American Miss Teen title. This was my third time competing at NAM Nationals, and I was thrilled to be on stage again! Here is a summary of the week!

Tuesday: I checked in, turning in my paperwork and planning for the week. After check-in I went to compete in the new Red Carpet Correspondent competition. I recorded my red carpet style introduction before going back to my room to prepare for my speech. I then went to kickoff/orientation where we were empowered through presentations and learned about the amazing opportunities offered during the week. I competed in the spokesmodel competition and then the top model photoshoot competition. That night, we had a pajama party with former Miss USA’s and Teen USA’s!

Wednesday: A fun Disneyland day, and I explored Los Angeles with my parents by shopping and getting my hair done!

Thursday: I competed in the formal wear competition in my evening gown before we went to the car drawing for the chance to win a Ford Mustang! I then enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner with my parents.

Friday: I had a free day to complete some homework, and then a rehearsal to learn our new dance.

Saturday: I competed in the introduction and personal interview competitions and attended the red carpet NAMMIES award ceremony. I placed in the top ten for my spokesmodel speech and second runner up in the red carpet correspondent competition.

Sunday: It was finals day and I had lots of friends tuning in online! I placed in the top 12 out of 81 girls, and I was so proud of myself! It was a competitive group, and being able to place was my goal for the week.

It was a week to remember and I can’t wait to return back to NAM land soon!
