Girls on the Run - Chicago Gala 2026

I had a blast volunteering once again for Girls on the Run - Chicago Hope + Heart Gala!

My mom and I were able to chat with many attendees about the impact this organization is making and how I get to play a small part in that. We sold raffle tickets, raising hundreds of dollars. I also was able to contribute a $500 donation, raised through my Confidence Camps. While chatting with attendees, I met a woman who said she was a sorority woman. When I asked what sorority she was in, it turned out we were Gamma Phi Beta sisters. She was able to connect me with upcoming alumni events, and this is a testament to never knowing where a simple greeting can take you!

I was also able to share about being Miss Chicago Elite and the overlap of confidence building through Girls on the Run and National American Miss. Balancing being a teacher and titleholder means getting gala ready in a classroom after school alongside my sweet students - it was such a fun girlhood moment having them help me curl my hair and give me makeup tips!
