Girls on the Run - Springfield: Fall 5k

I have an annual tradition of driving down to the Illinois capital and supporting the Central Illinois chapter of Girls on the Run at their Fall 5k celebration race. The last 3 years, I have had the coolest position of awarding the medals to the runners.

The morning starts crazy early since it’s a 3 hour drive and we have to be ready to go by 9am! Combining that with the cold weather, the gala the night before, and nationals prep.. ya girl was tired!

My dad and I made our way, awarded the medals, and had so much fun doing so! I love seeing their moment of accomplishment and celebrating them too!
