How To: Media Kit

Helloooooo…

Let’s dive into my first blog post here on jaceysjournal.com! I am so excited to be teaching you about a media kit. So for starters what is a media kit? A media kit is a graphic that shows off your content work, your followers, and why brands would want to work with you, like a portfolio! So I am going to show you how to make your own, and how I made mine! I will include mine here for reference but it can also be found under the “media” tab.

So step one! Go to Canva.com…and if you don’t already use Canva- you’re missing out on easy content creation. So once on Canva search media kit in the search bar.

They oh so easily have templates ready for you to use and you can customize it to your liking.

Go head and pick your template and start designing! Make sure to you complimenting colors, consistent fonts, and a neutral background for easy reading.

…. Here are some things to include:

  1. Social media following in list or graph form.

  2. Your name and contact information.

  3. Photos of your content.

  4. Any partnerships you have/had.

  5. Information about yourself and related fields.

  6. Links to your social media.

Go create and send this to brands you want to work with, so it isn’t just a DM they’re getting!
